DICK, Doreen  -  March 22, 1930 - December 21, 2017

In loving memory of Doreen Dick (nee Mary Doreen Killeavy), who passed into the next life on December 21, 2017, at the age of 87.

Doreen was predeceased by her husband Bruce, her son Bruce Jr. (Cathy) and her sisters, Terry and Colleen. She leaves her brother Mike (Judy) and sons Bob (Barb), Brian, Paul (Sandra) and Ian (Jackie).

She is much loved and dearly missed by her grandchildren, Chris, Renee, Steven, Breanne, Geoff, James and Sean, and by her many great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Doreen was a proud graduate of Notre Dame High School in Toronto, class of '47.

She raised five boys before exploring career opportunities with Marks and Spencer Canada, first as a cook and later in sales.

She served for many years on the advisory board of St. Michael's Choir School and was President of the Parents' Council for two terms.

A special thanks to the staff of Chester Village, the palliative care department of Michael Garron Hospital, the community of Corpus Christi Parish and all who have helped Doreen on her journey.

The family will welcome friends and family at the Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto, on Thursday, December 28th, from 5-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 29th at Corpus Christi Church, 1810 Queen St. East, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Good Shepherd Ministries.
