SPROULE, Fay Alice Yvonne  - Born July 31, 1928 and passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.

Beloved wife for 66 years of Bruce.

Loving mother of Mark (Myrtle) of Calgary, Wendy Stack (Tim) of Oakville and Kymberley of Mississauga. Nana to Rory, Shannon, Jacqueline, Laura, Connor, Malcolm and Helen. Survived by her sister Viki Prystawski (Walter) of Toronto. Also survived by her sister-in-law Madelon MacLeod.

Predeceased by Don MacLeod, Robert and Gwen Sproule. Fay was an accomplished painter and a member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour from 1989.

She was a founding chair of Visual Arts Mississauga, a Mississauga Arts Council director, and program committee member of the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga. In 1999 Fay was the recipient of the Mississauga Arts Council Visual Artist of the Year award. Fay was an avid traveller, often combining this with painting and teaching on trips to South Carolina, Greece, France, Portugal, the Azores, Spain, Thailand and Mexico.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, Mississauga, on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. A private service for the family will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Living Arts Centre, Mississauga or Mississauga Arts Council.
