de VERA, Felicitas Oalican - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother Felicitas (Felice) Oalican de Vera on January 1, 2018, in her 82nd year.
Beloved wife of Jaime de Vera for 60 years.
Very much loved by her 3 children and 8 grandchildren, Mona-Liza de Vera (Christopher Pickles) and children Jessica (Derek), Elizabeth and Sarah (Mike), Ingemar de Vera (Carmen) and children Ashley (Mohammed) and Rachel and Victoria de Vera (Golding) and children Melissa (Eddie), Stephen (Jess) and Brandon (Valerie).
She graduated from Centre Escolar University from Manila, Philippines with a degree in Pharmacy. She took her Board exam and became a Registered Pharmacist on January 27, 1958. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology from Manila Central University.
In 1968, she immigrated to Toronto, Canada with her husband Jaime.
She retired from Toronto General Hospital in 1999, at the same time as Jaime.
Friends will be received by the family at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Agincourt on Wednesday and Thursday from 5-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3526 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough, on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
