ROONEY, Margaret Elizabeth (nee Brooks) - Peacefully, after a long battle with cancer at the Matthews House Hospice in Alliston, on Monday, January 1, 2018, at the age of 74.
Beloved wife of Bob for 46 years.
Loving mother of Jason Rooney (Caryl) and cherished grandmother of Jaxon.
Sister to the late Joseph Brooks. Sister-in-law of Annie Brooks and John and Lynne Rooney. Dear aunt of Jodi Rooney (Jeff), Jeff Rooney, Mark Brooks and Allan Brooks (Erin).
Great-aunt of Jacob, Sheldon, Hunter, Isaac, Lincoln and Watson. Margaret will also be missed by her best friend of over 60 years, Marilyn Denison.
Friends may visit at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place in the Chapel on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre at the Southlake Regional Hospital, or to the Matthews House Hospice in Alliston.
