McCANN, Catherine Eugene "Jean" (nee McNamara)  - It is with great sadness that the family of "Jean" McCann announces her passing on January 4, 2018, in Toronto, at the age of 96.

She was the daughter of the late Michael and Florence McNamara of Port Hood, Nova Scotia and the dearly loved wife of the late Leonard J. McCann of Toronto.

Jean is survived by her younger brothers Harold and Arthur McNamara, as well as her loving children Marie, William, Kevin and Dennis; and grandchildren Matthew, Caitlin, Renae and George.

She will also be dearly missed by her daughters-in-law Eleonor and Tina McCann. Sincere thanks go to the staff at Shepherd's Terrace and Shepherd's Lodge who showed great understanding and compassion while making extraordinary efforts for Jean.

Visitation at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E., on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. in St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church located on 44 Broadway Ave., Toronto.

Jean was a charitable soul and donations in her honour to Rose of Sharon, Rosalie Hall, The Salvation Army, or St. Vincent DePaul would be greatly appreciated.
