HOLWELL, Elsie Pearl (nee MOORES) - Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces Nursing Home on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in her 92nd year.
Beloved wife of the late Walter Sydney Holwell and caring mother to Pat (Gary), Ken (Fran), Gerry (Barry) and Larry (Sue) (predeceased by son-in-law, Joe).
Elsie was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
Elsie loved to fish on Rice Lake and was a loyal fan to her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. She always offered a warm smile and helping hand to everyone. Dear Mom, you will be sadly missed and will always be in our hearts until we meet again.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Hillsdale Terraces for their excellent care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, Scarborough Chapel, 2900 Kingston Rd. E., on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel following the visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. The Interment will be held at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 2700 Kingston Rd. E., at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers.
