Kato YoichiKATO, Yoichi  - On January 10, 2018, Yo passed away peacefully at home at the age of 96.

He was predeceased by Miyo, his loving wife of 55 years.

Beloved father of Carolyn, Ron (Penny) and Elaine (Brian). Proud grandfather of Timothy, Alex (Audrey), Nicholas and Lauryn.

He is also survived by his loving sister, Rose Aihoshi and sister-in-law, Kim Fukushima. He will be dearly missed by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Predeceased by brothers-in-law Tad Aihoshi, Harry Fukushima and Shigeshi Fukushima and by sister-in-law Yos Fukushima.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Momiji and a special thanks to Marites (Tess) for their care and support through the last few years.

We invite family and friends to join us in a celebration of life that will be held at the Momiji Residence, 3555 Kingston Road, Scarborough, Ontario, on Sunday, January 21st between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Momiji Health Care Society or the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre would be greatly appreciated.
