KIRKNESS, Charles Watt Norman George - 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2018 at his home in Scarborough, Ontario.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, to the late Norman and Pearl Kirkness.
He viewed his relationships with his family and friends as his priority in life.
He always had time to listen and to understand others.
He was an Electrician for 43+ years with Black and MacDonald Ltd. He enjoyed building and entertaining at his cottage. He loved playing a good game of cards and enjoyed watching a game of hockey; favourite pastimes were fishing, canoeing and walking.
Watt was a loving husband of 63 years and best friend to Elizabeth Marilyn (nee Wakefield). Loving father to his children Leonard (Laurie), Katherine (Scott), Daniel (Kelly) and Susanne (Terry) and ten grandchildren Brett, Kendra, Kirk, Ryan, Lucas, Nathan, Zachary, Breanne, Aaron and Hannah. Dear brother to Merrill (Elizabeth), Warren (Jean), Dawn (Harold), Lorae (Roion), Orland (Maureen), Thelma (Peter) and Laverne (Adrienne).
He will be dearly missed by his many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 18th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Friday, January 19th from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough, Ontario.
