McMECHAN, Colin John - Colin passed peacefully on January 12, 2018, in his 96th year.
He was the loving husband of Norma Pearce for 70 years.
Colin was a proud WWII Veteran, a member of the 1st Canadian Armoured Carrier Regiment (Canadian Kangaroos), Fort York Legion Branch 165, a lifelong member of The Kiwanis Club of East York, a member of St. Cuthbert's Church in Leaside and Christ Church, Stouffville. Colin was Vice President of Donlands Dairy.
Colin was the loving father of John (Jane) and Bill (Denise), devoted grandfather of Matthew (Melissa), Stacey (Kirt), and Jennifer (Colin) and proud great-grandfather of Derek, Brooke, Addison, Scarlett and Wyatt. Colin has a brother Wilfred (Marilyn, deceased).
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at O'Neill Funeral Home, Stouffville. Memorial visitation is from 1:00 p.m. until celebration of Colin's life at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception.
