FERNANDES, Rosie Delphina  - On Tuesday, January 16, 2018 Rosie passed away and was reunited with her late husband Joseph Marcellus Fernandes.

Rosie passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 93.

Rosie was a wonderful mother and a dear friend to all.

She was beloved by many people whose lives she touched in her long and happy life.

Born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Rosie married Joseph and raised most of her 11 children in Mumbai and in Goa, India. She leaves behind sons Crisanto (Patricia), Tom (Nohora), James (Amelia) and Filo (Patricia) and daughters Glory (Collin), Fatima (Praveen), Assunta (Seby), Jennifer, Lina (Albert) and Petus (Paul).

Rosie will be fondly remembered by her sisters Olga (UK) and Matty and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, friends and relatives in Canada and abroad. She loved the company of her close-knit family, all of whom made her very proud.

Her love of candies was legendary and dangerous. Likewise her passion for action movies or a rousing game of cards or a winning round at the slots. Rosie was one of a kind: a gentle soul, well-loved by all of us who were blessed to know her.

Special thanks are due to many, but especially Dr. Stanley Teitlebaum. God Bless our dear Mum, our Rosie, may she rest in peace.

Family will receive friends at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Mass will take place Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Aidan Roman Catholic Church, 3501 Finch Avenue East (east of Warden).  Interment after Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations please to the Canadian Cancer Society.
