MacInnis AllanMacINNIS, Allan Michael Ernest   - September 17, 1934 – January 17, 2018

passed away suddenly in Toronto.

Loving husband of Clara Landers and loving father of Dwight, Bradley, Christopher and Neil, and dear father-in-law of Meredith and Ann.

Cherished grandfather of Gregory, Marion and Lydia.

Allan was predeceased by his eldest son, Gregory (1972) and parents Carmelita (nee McDonald) and Malcolm MacInnis. He is survived by his brothers, Malcolm Vic MacInnis (Antigonish, N.S.) and David MacInnis (Sydney, N.S.).

Allan was a graduate of College Sainte-Anne and Saint Francis Xavier University, where he obtained his Education Degree. Early in his working life he was a Captain in the Canadian Navy, teaching French from coast to coast, and then became a high school teacher.

He was an avid hockey player in his youth and enjoyed the game all his life.

At retirement age, he worked with interest in the Law Courts in Toronto. A man of multiple interests, he also enjoyed cycling, skating, gardening, playing piano, listening to classical music, and reading a broad range of subjects. He began learning Italian at the age of 80.

There will be a Celebration of Allan's life at Trull Funeral Home , 1111 Danforth Ave., Toronto on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.

A donation in Allan's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
