ASH, Capt. Phillip Leon  - Peacefully in his 92nd year on January 20, 2018.

Beloved Husband of Megan (passed 2013), father of Owen (Kathy) and Elaine, beloved grandfather of Jonathan, David, Allison, Daniel, and Rhys.

Phil was born to a family of eleven in Madoc, Ontario in 1926.

He followed four of his brothers into the Army during Word War II and continued in the Army after the war, attending Queen's University, Kingston through ROTP. He joined the Royal Canadian Regiment as an officer after his studies, serving with his beloved Regiment during the Korean War.

He stayed in the Army until retirement in 1972. He completed his career serving as Counsellor and then District Director with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Phil was a devoted family man and churchman serving as an Elder and Steward at Rowntree Memorial United Church in London and was a founding member of North Bramalea United Church.

We wish to thank the staff at Burnbrae Retirement Home, in Campbellford for their devoted care.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 29th at North Bramalea United Church, 363 Howden Blvd., Brampton, ON L6S 4L6 with visitation at noon prior to the service. Pro Patria.
