It is with great sadness his family announces the passing of David on Monday, January 22, 2018, in his 94th year.
Son of the late Murray and Florence Thomson.
Beloved husband of 55 years of the late Mary Elizabeth, née Ingram (Treadwell) Thomson.
Loving and much loved father of Elizabeth Thomson, Naomi Priddle Hunter and the late J. Michael Treadwell; dearly loved father-in-law of Florence Treadwell. Wonderful grandfather of Julie (Thomas Steffler), Christopher (Nadège Baheux), Clarissa (Xavier Mimiague) and Aurélie (Andrzej Szeib) Treadwell; and delighted great-grandfather of eight, in Canada and in France. Dear brother of Mary Houston.
Predeceased by brothers Robert, Murray and Garth.
David was a retired Archdeacon of the Ottawa Diocese of the Anglican Church.
Cremation has taken place. A Service in Celebration of his Life will be held in Ottawa at Christ Church Cathedral, Sparks Street, between Bay and Bronson, on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 1:30 p.m.
A Memorial Gathering will be held in Toronto at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be directed to the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund of the Anglican Church of Canada, or a charity of your choice.
