JALASJAA, Irja Armida - Passed away peacefully at Sunnycrest Nursing Home on Sunday, January 28th, 2018, at 102 years of age. Dear wife of the late Eino Evald Jalasjaa.
Loving mother of Bert Jalasjaa, Anne Carson and Terry Fairy.
Cherished grandmother of Alan Jalasjaa, Tuula Jalasjaa, Jason Pollard, Christopher Carson, and great grandmother to Jakson Pollard, Rachel and Lauren Rodrigues.
She will be sadly missed by her nephew Jorma Warrala of Helsinki, Finland.
Irja was born in Helsinki, Finland on April 23rd, 1915. She worked at Cole of California in Oshawa making sportswear and bathing suits.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, February 1st from 6 – 9 p.m. and Friday, February 2nd at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 540 Cromwell Avenue, Oshawa from 12:00 noon until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Grace Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
