TRUEN, Dorothy Edna (nee ALLEN) - Dorothy died peacefully at Belleville General Hospital on January 31, 2018 in her 100th year.
Beloved wife of the late Harold Truen. Dorothy was predeceased by her 3 brothers: Jack, Bill and Harry.
Dorothy was born in Toronto on July 5, 1918.
Harold and Dorothy had a happy married life together for almost 50 years.
They had 4 daughters, Betty (Peter Petersen), Nancy deceased (Robert Therien), Mary Lou (Barry Ellsworth) and Jo-Anne (David Butchart).
Grandma Dot will be lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren: Scott (Lori), Steven (Jennifer), Michael (Emma), Melissa (David), Danny (Anna), Jamie (Marni), Robbie (Kerri), Christine (PJ), Peter (Juli), Greg (Lori) and Ryan (Mamiko).
She will be greatly missed by her 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation on February 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 275 Lesmill Road, Toronto. Service to follow.
