ADLER, Stephen Robert   - Stephen Robert Adler, born in New York City, April 27, 1947, died February 17, 2018.

Charming, smart, sometimes a little difficult and brave enough to dream the impossible dream!

Stephen Adler grew up and was educated in Toronto.

His career began professionally as Media Manager with the Toronto Symphony where he made quite an impact, then moved on to the National Arts Centre in Ottawa under his lifelong mentor, Mary Jolliffe.

He then travelled around the United States, producing and promoting everything from Broadway shows to classical artists. He could regularly be found sipping martinis with his customary elan in hotel lobbies in New York or lattes on Rodeo Drive.

Never short of ideas, he returned to Toronto and worked independently with a variety of arts entrepreneurs. He ended his days happily in the company of showbiz folks at the Performing Arts Lodge, Toronto.

Stephen is survived by his sister Niki and her husband Marvin Rosenshein and their children Jay Parker, Stacey and Jeff Walton and a host of friends who were privileged to have known him.

A celebration of Stephen's life will be held at the Performing Arts Lodge Toronto on Friday, March 2nd, 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information.
