SEKO, Chiyo  - May 4, 1923 to March 20, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Chiyoko on Tuesday, March 20th at the age of 94.

She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years Shigeo (William) Seko.

Loving mother of Steve (Anne Marie, d.), Nao (Noreen), Mitsuyo (d.), Amy (Jack, d.) and Nelson (Margaret). Grandmother of Stephn (Fe), Jessica, Arthur, Kerris, Tiffany, Brandon, Michelle (Ken) and Daniel (Jessica). Great-grandmother of Theresa Marie, Nathaniel, Monica May, Hailey and Jameson.

She was predeceased by her parents Chosaburo and Toku, as well as her siblings Misa, Chizu, Eichi, Kunio, Shozo and Hideiki. Chiyoko came to Canada in 1957 with Steve, Nao and Mitsuyo in tow.

She had a great love for singing, writing music and teaching odori (dance).

Her life will be celebrated at a private family service.

Her family wishes to thank all of the staff at Momiji and the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care for their kindness and loving care.
