Parish MarilynPARISH, Marilyn Joan (nee MESSECAR)  - A Radiant Heart  Died peacefully on July 13, 2018, at home with family and friends at her side.

Predeceased by her husband William John Parish, her parents Wilfred and Lillian Messecar and her brother Charles, of Brantford.

Loving mother of Billy (Jill Copeland), Wick (Paulette Comeau) and Kim (Chris Nichol).

Proud grandmother (YaYa) of Grace, Frances, Lauren and William.

Born in Brantford on November 20, 1933. Marnie attended Havergal College and later Ryerson, where she graduated with a degree in early childhood education. Marnie was a dedicated volunteer at Bloorview Hospital and with the Women's Auxiliary at the Hospital for Sick Children.

She met her husband Bill in the most romantic of places, the bar at the Windsor Arms Hotel. Although she lost him too soon, he would remain the one true love of her life.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by the medical and palliative care teams at St. Michael's, Toronto General and Mt. Sinai Hospitals.

Memorial donations can be made to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, where Marnie spent 25 years as a dedicated volunteer.

There will be a private service and a Celebration of Life event for Marnie at a later date.
