McFARLANE, Harriet Szonyi - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harriet McFarlane of Toronto on July 25, 2018 at the age of 78.
Harriet is loved by her husband Ivan, sons Michael and Eric Szonyi, daughters-in-law Francine McKenzie and Ruth Givertz, grandchildren Noah Givertz Szonyi, Bobby McKenzie, Asher Givertz Szonyi, Katie McKenzie and Bella Givertz Szonyi.
Harriet leaves her siblings June Gordon and Maxanne Ezer of Toronto and Norman Kotler who resides in Israel.
Harriet taught with the Toronto District School Board for over 40 years, latterly at Castlefrank High School. Harriet was a member of Massey College's Quadrangle Society.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity College Chapel, Hoskin Ave. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
