CUFARO, Virginia - We are deeply saddened to have lost our dear Mom, Grandma and friend on Saturday, October 20, 2018, in her 97th year.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 75 years, Michael Cufaro.
Virginia was an active, vibrant Mom to Barbara and Michael Cufaro and a wise and thoughtful grandmother to Chelsea Cufaro (Chicago) and Courtney Cufaro (New York).
She was an amazing seamstress, an Educational Assistant for over 20 years but the main focus of her life was her best friend and love of her life, Mike. They enjoyed life at the cottage on Kennisis Lake in Haliburton and their yearly excursions to Florida stopping in Atlanta on the way to see Michael and the family.
Her last years spent at Extendicare in Georgetown were not the best of times, but daily visits by her daughter Barbara and great friend Shelley made things a lot easier. Our thanks to the staff at Extendicare for their thoughtful care and compassion.
In memory of Virginia, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
A celebration of Virginia's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with JS Jones & Son funeral home, Georgetown.
