KYES, Walter Edward - Peacefully entered into rest with family by his side at his home on Saturday September 2nd, 2017. Walter Kyes of Lansdowne, age 85 years.
Beloved husband for 60 years of Dorothy (Dobma) Kyes. Loving father of George and Jack Kyes of Lansdowne and John Kyes (Bev) of Coleman, AB; and the late David Kyes, Judy Thibedeau, Bruce Kyes and another son in infancy.
Cherished grandfather of Lisa Thibedeau, Russ Thibedeau (Nathalie), David Kyes and great granddaughter Ellie.
Dear brother of Betty Murray and Bob Kyes (Debby); brother-in-law of Jo Moulton (Marvin), Margaret Dobma and Jim Murchie; and father-in-law of Carol Gibson and Russ Thibedeau. Also predeceased by his parents Myron and Leah (Thompson) Kyes and step mother Edith Kyes.
Family will receive friends at the Barclay Funeral Home, 1033 Prince Street, Lansdowne on Wednesday September 6th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment Gananoque Cemetery at a later date.
In memory of Walter, donations to the St. Lawrence District Medical Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
