WECKER, Walter Wecker Jr - January 22, 1950 - September 21, 2024

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of the late Walter Wecker Jr. of Oshawa, Ontario. He passed away on Saturday, September 21, at 74 years of age. Walter leaves behind his wife Brigitte (of 44 years), his son Michael (Alex) granddaughters, Lily, Violet, Rose, his son Thomas (Stacey) granddaughters Ava and Aria, his son Ryan, grandsons, Raheem, Kyle, Miro, his daughter Michelle (Ghattas) and grandson George. He was a very devoted family man admired by his grandchildren for all his words of wisdom. Walter was a social man, he loved a good conversation with family and friends and always had his finger on the pulse of what was going on in the lives of those around him. He prided himself in giving advice and trying to guide and coach his family.

He loved all the family pets and took great care in pet–sitting for his family. Walter was a proud member of Plumbers Local 46 for 54 years. He was a Master Plumber, he had his own business for 10 years and retired at the age of 61. Walter also known as Wally, was a very skilled tradesman, he could fix just about anything, and if something needed to be built, he was well positioned to design and build it. Walter was loved deeply by his family and will by missed dearly by all who knew him. Walter, may you rest in eternal peace.

Friends may call at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Friday September 27, 2024 for visitation from 11:30 am until time of funeral at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
