On the morning of December 11th, 2024, as the sun rose softly, casting a warm golden light across the room, George Frederick Wicks, a man whose life was rich with love and compassion, peacefully passed away at 4 AM. He was surrounded by his daughter Angela and his beloved grandson Ryan at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre in Brantford, Ontario.

At the age of 82, George said his last goodbye, leaving behind his cherished sister Margaret, affectionate sister Barbara, stalwart brother Glen, dependable brother Keith, and caring sister Maureen. He is lovingly remembered by his son Fred, daughter-in-law Amanda, grandson Mathew, daughter Angela, son-in-law Ronald, adored granddaughters Jessica, Katie, and Cheyenne, treasured grandsons Daniel, Zachary, and Ryan, and precious great-grandchildren Nathan, Kaidyn, and Jasmine, along with his girlfriend of 8 years, Betty Ann Carson.

George’s journey began in England before moving to Corner Brook, Newfoundland, and Labrador, Canada, with his loving mother Marjorie. Together, they embraced new beginnings and cherished the values of integrity and kindness instilled by his parents. George was predeceased by his beloved mother Marjorie, father George, devoted wife Stella, and grandson Frankie, whose memories he held dear.
