June 1, 1962 - December 3, 2023
Passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket at the age of 71.
Predeceased by his parents, George and Louise Alexander.
He is survived by his sister, Heather-Jane Maurice and her husband, Michael; nephews, Michel-Jon Maurice, Joel Maurice, Adam Maurice; and niece, Amy Myers; and great-nephews, Ethan Myers, Lucas Maurice, Theodore Maurice; and great-niece, Ivy Maurice.
Bill will be greatly missed by his close friends, Scott Herrington (Cathy) and Dr. Peter Beaumont (Julia).
As a retired Clinical Nurse Specialist from Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto and Knight of Grace of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem Bill will undoubtedly be missed by the many people he touched in his roles there.
Visitation will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, Newmarket on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Reception immediately following the funeral service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Bill's wish was for donations to be made to support J.A. Albery St. John Ambulance Youth Bursary. Donations can be made via eTransfer to accounting@sja.ca or to the Priory Secretary, St. John Ambulance National Office, 400-1900 Promenade, City Park Drive, Ottawa, ON.K1J 1A3.
