Bell BernadetteBELL, Bernadette 'Bernie' - (October 16, 1934 – February 8, 2019) -

A life well lived - Bernie passed away peacefully on February 8, 2019 after a long journey with Alzheimer’s.

Much loved Mother of Bob Martin (Nancy) and Susan Martin.

Adored Nana of Rob, Ted (Heidi), Wes, Erin (Steve), Andrew, Mark, Sean (Maddie). Great Nana to Sawyer, Emmitt, Adrien and Adelei.

Born in Sault Ste. Marie to George and Lillian Bouillion, along with siblings Robert (Cece) and the late Delores Belanger and Theresa Eaton.

Predeceased by husbands John Martin and Eugene Bell.

Special Aunt Bernie to many nieces and nephews, sister-in-law and friend to all she met.

Bernie lived a full, wonderful life in Sault Ste. Marie, until the time was best to move her to Wynfields Home in Oshawa, where she was cared for and closer to immediate family in her final years as she coped with the effects of Alzheimer’s.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 16th at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) from 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Victorian Room at 3:00 p.m.

Bernie will travel back to the Soo, where an Interment and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18th. Final details to be published.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
