Neal DonaldNEAL, Donald William Thomas    -  March 24, 1938 - December 29, 2022

It is with profound sadness that we announce the loss of Don Neal who passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the age of 84.

Cherished and loving partner to Janis Hannon, loving father to Mark Neal, grandfather to Ashley, Andrew (Rose) and great grandfather to Chelsea and James. Stepfather to Jennifer (Allan) Steven (Melissa) grandkids, Caden, Raya, Madison and Jack.

Predeceased by parents John Thomas and Mae Nellie Neal and siblings Annie (Ken McCrimmon), Mildred (Cecil Scott), Dave (Fran) and Albert McQueen (Gail).

Survived by Elsie (Tom Cole), Alma (Eric Ward), Linda (Wally Provak), Sharon (John Neeham), Waine McQueen (Sue), Tony McQueen (Sandra), and Diane (Perry)

Don had many interests and hobbies and loved to travel.

He was a pilot who built his own plane and enjoyed time spent at the Oshawa Airport.

A Machinist by trade, Don could make just about any component you could think of loving the challenge and always coming through.

He loved to tell the story of driving his Corvette across Canada from coast to coast. You could often find Don at the local car shows showing off his prized 1960 Corvette which landed him many trophies over the years.

Don was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of Don’s life Sunday, January 8th, 2023 from 1-3 pm at 420 Wing, 1000 Stevenson Road N, Oshawa, ON.

Online condolences may be made at mountlawn.ca

In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
