WUISMAN, Gysbertus "Gerry" Jacobus Wuisman - 1927 - 2022
Gerry Wuisman, at the age 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home in West Hill (Scarborough) on December 30th, 2022.
Gerry was born on July 31st, 1927 to Gregory and Theodora Wuisman in Breda, the Netherlands.
As a young man Gerry traveled the world until he settled in Toronto where he worked as an accountant for Ed Mirvish.
In 1959, Gerry met his beloved wife Gudrun at a local dance. Gerry and Gudrun went on to have two children, Greg and Karen.
After a career spanning over 30 years, Gerry retired in 1999. In retirement, Gerry enjoyed travelling with his wife Gudrun, cottage life, and above all else, adored spending time with his five (5) grandchildren: Adam, Laura, Zachary, Peter, and Jamie.
Gerry was predeceased by his two (2) brothers Ben, and Hank. He is survived by his loving wife Gudrun Wuisman, his two (2) children: Greg Wuisman (Elizabeth), Karen Krizan (Victor), his five (5) grandchildren: Adam Wuisman (Brandon), Laura Vaughan (Jeremey), Zachary Tustin (Ashley), Peter Wuisman, and Jamie Tustin, his three (3) great grandchildren: Axel, Avery, and Reggie, and his sister Anneke Nuijten (Wim).
