ALZNER, Karl "Charlie" Heinze Alzner   -  August 8, 1935 - January 3, 2023

At the beautiful age of 87 Karl passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife Joan of 66 years by his side, holding his hand.

Eighth born of nine children to George and Maria Alzner in Hungary.

Devoted, proud and loving husband of Joan, father to Wanda (deceased) (Scott), Brenda (Garry), Stephen (Samantha) and Paul (Laura).

Opa to Brett (deceased), Ashley, Jason, Ryan, Justin, Hillary, Trevor, Rachael and Garrett. Great-Opa to Terra, Alyssa, Gwendolyn, Charlotte, Kyliegh, Miya, Klaus and Leonardo.

Leaving Hungary to live in Germany and becoming the European Boxing Champion, at the age of 18 he and his brother Otto moved to Canada.

Shortly thereafter he met Joan, they married August 18, 1956 and raised their family. He became a miner and fought in Fight Night in Canada on Saturday nights to earn a living. He had been a construction supervisor, owner of a restaurant and later ran a sawmill with his sons Paul and Stephen.

His love for his wife, children and family were larger than life and unmatched by any other. His priority in life was to provide for his family to ensure they would not go without and not only did he succeed, but surpassed with his loving, kind nature, love and devotion to his beloved wife Joan and their children.

As we cry on this end, in heaven the Alzner's rejoice with open arms as they are together again.

Arrangements with Low & Low Funeral Home in Uxbridge, ON.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
