RUSECKAS, Victor - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Ruseckas at Uxbridge Hospital on January 8th with his loving wife by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
He has now joined his loving parents Mary and John Ruseckas.
He was born in Germany, and immigrated to Winnipeg with his parents after the war in 1946.
He is also predeceased by his Wife’s parents Madge and Edward Lanigan as well as his brother-in-law Frank.
He is fondly remembered by his sister-in-laws Margaret, and Mary (Gerard), and brother-in-laws Edward and Michael (Mary Ann) as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was a soft spoken man but someone who had a lot to say in the right company.
He was a lover of projects and always had one…two or three on the go. He spent his final weeks in the place he loved most with his wife Anne Marie and beautiful dogs Farley and Phantom.
We would like to express our thanks for the excellent care and compassion Victor received from the doctors, nurses and staff at Margaret Hospital, Orillia Soldier’s Memorial Hospital and Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.
If so desired, Memorial donations in memory of Victor to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Arrangements with the Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton. Funeral Mass will follow at St Joseph's Catholic Church Beaverton at 12 noon.
