ABRAM, Ruth Claire (nee ALLEN) - Ruth Claire, 85, of Oshawa, passed away peacefully, June 23, 2023, with family by her side.
She was born to the late Claire and Muriel Allen in Toronto. Ruth was married to the love of her life, the late George Abram for 61 years. They shared a love like no other.
She is greatly missed by her 5 children: Stewart (Melanie), Bob (Joy), Bill (Sara), Larry (Michelle), and Cheryl (Dave); 13 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Ruth was an extraordinary woman with many talents and a heart of gold.
She always went out of her way to make everyone feel welcome in her home, a place you always wanted to be.
She made a point of keeping extended family and friends close throughout her years by writing cards or sending little gifts, she was always so thoughtful. Ruth had a love for sewing, gardening, and loved to cook and bake, George was always her biggest fan.
As her health declined, she often reminisced about the many road trips George and she took together, family memories, and the good times with friends.
We will carry you in our hearts forever. In memory of Ruth a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated, in lieu of flowers.
