HAWERCHUK, Orest Edward - Passed away peacefully at home with his wife and daughter by his side July 24, 2023 at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of Eleanor. Loving father of the late Dale (Crystal) and Dayna.
Proud grandfather of Eric (Nicole), Alexis, and Ben (Alyssa). Out of 14 siblings, Orest is survived by Pauline Barjarow (Ron) and Rose Alexander (Dave).
Eddie had a zest for life and enjoyed being around friends and family. He had a great sense of humour and loved to tease. He loved to dance, sing and play guitar, with a love for classic country music.
Ed enjoyed all sports, especially hockey, playing, watching and coaching from his recliner and in the car or sidelines when Dale and his grandchildren were young.
He was a family man who was protective of his family and despite a sometimes gruff exterior he had a soft heart.
Friends and family will be received at Mount Lawn Funeral Home 21 Garrard Rd, Whitby for a Celebration of Life on Sunday August 6, 2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
