BURNS, James Arthur - Peacefully passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 with his beloved wife of 58 years, Linda Burns by his side.
Also present by his side during his passing was his loving daughter, Kim Burns (partner Mark Roper), and his loving like-a-daughter/sister-in-law, Jean Edmonstone.
Deeply loved son of the late Kathleen and Robert Burns and dear brother to the late Bobbie Burns.
Remembered like a father, with great love by, Jean & Dan Edmonstone, and, like a grandfather by their children, Justin, Tyler, Connor & Mary (Connor’s wife).
Caring brother-in-law to Rita Edmonstone, Donna Beatty (partner Jim) and Bruce Fries (wife Lori).
Loving uncle to Michele Gilmore (spouse Scott Gilmore), Jennifer Grosvenor (spouse Peter Grosvenor), David Edmonstone, Angie Kehl (spouse Jeff Kehl), Sarah Beatty, Carrie Carnahan (spouse Jay Carnahan) and Chad Edmonstone.
Loving great-uncle to Shelby Bennett (partner, Steve), Emmaline and Michayla Gilmore, Colin & Carter Grosvenor, Luke Fries, Siearra-Rose Benoit, Breanna Fries-Found, Alex and Evelyn Kehl and Julian Russel.
Fondly remembered by his long-time friends, travel buddies and Cow Patty Farm Parties, Gerry Filion (partner Terry), Dave Wright, Brian Edmonstone, Tim Beatty, Karrie & Michael Hollahan (their children, Hailey, Reese & Reid), Crystal & Kris Zimmermann (their children Austin & Mackenzie), Carmen Tessier & Mike Forler, Laurie & Darren Beals (daughter, Lexie), Marion & Dale Roeder, Katie Beth, Wendy Burgess and Donna Hurst (late spouse, Doug).

A private family graveside service will be held. James will be interred at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Rd. Whitby, Ontario.
