YOUNG, Evelyn M. - Evelyn passed peacefully at Wynfield Long Term Care Home in Oshawa on September 1, 2023.
Loving mother to Lisa (Mark) and Candy (Lee).
Grandmother to Emma, Natasha, Matthew and Jenny.
Evie enjoyed many happy hours gardening and her flowers. She loved when her hands were in the soil and her face was in the sun.
She loved a good steeped cup of tea with something sweet on the side. She was a caregiver to all. Especially those closest to her. She was always ready to help, to contribute and make someone else’s life a little easier. Even if it interfered with her own.
Our family would like to send a sincere thank you to the team of nurses, psw’s and recreation personnel on the McLaughlin Bay unit at Chartwell Wynfield Long Term Care Residence. The care, compassion and pure joy you gave to our mom is unmeasurable.
If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s’ Society of Durham would be appreciated.
Visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 21 Garrard Rd. Whitby, ON on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 from 10am-12pm. There will be a Graveside service for family and close friends at 12pm at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY .
