Haass MaeHAASS, Mae Ann (nee Naylor) Haass  -  As she wished, Mae passed away at home with her family by her side, on Friday, February 9th, 2024 in her 85th year.

 

Loving wife for over 60 years, best friend and childhood sweetheart of Walter Emil Haass (deceased).

 

Proud mother of Louise Bowler (John), Don (Diane), Karen Chambers (Don), James (Cindy), and Marla Stephenson (Jim).

 

Mae was the fun-loving Nanny and Great Nanny to grandkids and great grandkids galore! She was the beloved sister of Janet (Doug) Dodge.

 

The matriarch of the Haass clan was and is loved by many. Known for speaking her mind. 5 foot 2 inches of sheer determination and tenacity.

 

Mae was a longtime member of the UCW Zion Church, a volunteer with the community Meals-On-Wheels program and Bowmanville Hospital Auxiliary.

 

She is back together with her missed and loved travelling friends, Lost Heir partners and birthday group and will be missed by those waiting to see her again.

 

Visitation: February 13th, 2024, COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL , 12-1:30pm. Celebration of Life: 1:30pm. Reception to follow.
