WILLIAMS, Peggy Winifred (Smith)  - Her guardian angel came for her on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Butternut Manor Retirement Home in Uxbridge.

Born in Norfork, England on June 17, 1925.

Peggy is survived by her husband Alan Williams of almost 69 years and her sister Jean in Manchester, England.

Lovingly remembered by her daughter Alison, sons Trevor (Linda) and Andy (Judi), granddaughters Tammie, Tiffany, Rebecca (Mark) and Emily (Joey), grandson Michael (Cinthia) and great granddaughters Kyla and Jediah.

Peggy was an RN who trained in England. She worked at Scarborough General Hospital and later became a Registered Massage Therapist. She was a Girl Guide leader and hospice volunteer.

Upon moving to Uxbridge, Peggy continued to volunteer with hospice, grief counselling and the Uxbridge Auxiliary.

She was a recipient of the June Caldwell Award for volunteerism. She was keenly interested in gardening, nature and art, especially pastel drawing and pottery. Peggy was a spiritual searcher who shared her wisdom with her close group of friends and family.

The family invites you to join them for a Celebration of Peggy’s Life on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 1p.m. to 4p.m. at the Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy’s memory may be made to Doctors without Boarders or a charity of choice.
