OKEEFE, Leo Michael - Leo Michael OKeefe, beloved husband of the late Leonora OKeefe, peacefully surrounded by his family on July 29, 2021.
Leo is survived by his children Bernadette Fahey (John), Katheen Flynn (Adrian), Paul OKeefe (Melida) and Martin OKeefe (Tiffany).
He leaves grandchildren Rebecca, Christine, Ian, Emily, Fox, Joseph, Dana and Annie.
Leo was born into a large family in West Toronto and was the son of Frank and Bridget OKeefe.
Leo started working as a milkman for several dairies after the war delivering milk with a horse drawn wagon. He met the great love of his life Leonora in 1960 and was married in 1961.
He was a lifetime member of St. Vincent De Paul Society and for many years managed the Society's charity stores, before establishing his own trucking business that he ran for many years.

DALGLEISH, Ronald Graham - Age 85, died peacefully in his sleep, July 29, 2021, with family at his side, in Orangeville, ON.
He is survived by his three daughters, Lynne Dalgleish, Diane Feeley, and Heather Dalgleish, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Ron was born July 7, 1936 in Montreal, PQ, to the late John Cairns Dalgleish and Jessie Jean (Duncan) Dalgleish, older brother to the late Carole Mavis Dalgleish.

KAFKIS, Demetrios "Jim" - With profound sadness we say goodbye to our dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend Demetrios who passed away in hospital the morning of Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the age of 84.
In 1964, he left behind everyone and everything he loved in his hometown of Filiatra, Greece to come to Toronto, Canada as a carpenter to be with his wife; they’ve been married 58 years.
Demetri arrived with nothing but a wooden suitcase he made himself and the few items that fit inside. We still have that suitcase today! The first word he learned in English was “job”, as he set off immediately to find one.

WOZENCROFT, Kathleen - (December 8, 1916 - July 28, 2021)
It is such a tender time to say Farewell to my Mom. Yesterday afternoon just before her passing away. She was sleeping, looking so peaceful and her skin was like an angel. I sat with her, looking around her room, and realizing that it felt like the story of her life right there. Art, photos, and greeting cards adorned the walls.
Her life of 104 plus was well rounded indeed. Her hobbies grew from cycling, Girl Guides, ball room dancing, designing and sewing outfits for the figure skating club, knitting, walking, baking and doing puzzles.

GARRICK, Hermine Margaret - Hermine Margaret Garrick, born July 23, 1937 in Kingston, Jamaica, died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday July 28th, 2021.
She was the daughter of the late Sylvia Marshall and Noel Garrick.

TULSHI, Drojatie ‘Gaitree’ - Drojatie ‘Gaitree’ Tulshi passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 28th, 2021.
She was born on November 4th, 1965 in Lenora, Guyana. She is survived by her loving sister Chandrouti (Chandra). She will be forever missed by her cherished nieces and nephews, especially Rita, Anita and Shyam; they will remember her as their devoted caregiver when she first arrived in Canada.
Gaitree was deeply dedicated to her work as a Personal Support Worker and loved her clients like they were her family.

Born in Mull, Ontario in 1937, daughter of the late William Owen (1962) and Mildred Owen (1989), of Chatham-Kent.
Predeceased by her husband Roy H. Brown of Chatham (1982) and brother, Brian Owen (2014). Survived by her sister, Kathleen Lindsay of Burnaby, BC.
Loving mother to Laurie (Jeff) Irwin of Aurora, Mark Brown and Kevin Brown both of Newmarket. Best Gram of Megan and Katherine Irwin of Aurora and Sara and Victoria Brown.

LOUGH, Roy - It is with great sadness the family of Roy Lough announces his passing on July 28, 2021 at the age of 94.
Roy was the youngest of three children born to Charles and Minnie Lough in Springbrook, Ontario on March 18, 1927.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Jean (nee Marks).
Loving father to Grant Lough (Mieko) and Kim Glen (Pete), and cherished grandfather to Kevin Glen, Jason Glen and Mika Lough. At the young age of 17, Roy left his small town to begin his big city life in Toronto.
He found work as a pressman with the Toronto Telegram and enjoyed working there for many years, as well as with other well known printing companies.

LUUS, Rein, Ph.D, P.Eng., Professor - March 8, 1939 - July 28, 2021
At rest, following a brief battle with pneumonia.
Rein was born in Tartu, Estonia, and was the youngest of three of Edgar and Aili Luus, and is remembered by family and friends, colleagues in the academic community, and friends in the Toronto Estonian community.
He is survived by his wife, Hilkka, son, Brian, daughter, Niina and her family, sister, Ivi Patterson (David), nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members in Canada, USA, Estonia, Sweden and Finland.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Dr. George Luus. Rein began elementary education in Germany.

POITAN, Christine Valerie (ROOTES) - Passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on July 28, 2021, in St. Catharines, ON.
She was born in Shorham-by-Sea, England on December 25 1953, and moved to Canada in 1961.
Christine will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 11 years, Oscar, her mother Valerie, her sons Brad and D'Arcy, her daughter Jaime (Grant); her sister Jennifer (Bruce), and brother Steve (Ev), and many extended family members and friends.
She has been so brave and strong; her memory will remain in our hearts forever.
She adored her trips to Cuba, pretty shoes and clothes, shopping, dancing, and going to the casino.

She often reminisced about her wonderful childhood on the farm at what is now, Hwy. 427 and Dundas Street. Her family has long been a part of the fabric of Etobicoke life and development.
