Leon Alban

LEON, Alban (Abbey) Joseph  -  After a short illness, it is with sadness and love that we announce the passing of Ablan Joseph Leon. 

Abbey will be forever missed by his loving wife of 60 years Joan (Myers), his children Cary (Rosemary), Brian, Maureen (Kevin McGivney), Shelley (Richard Whelan), Martin and Tracey (deceased).  

Abbey was a proud Grandfather to John, Anne (Travis Clarke), Zachary, Abigail, Austin, Claire, Gabrielle, Erin, Avery and Hudson.

Loving brother to James, deceased (Rebecca), Fred, deceased (Betty), Norman, deceased (Nancy deceased), Lena (Zenon Kiss),  Marion, deceased (Bill Timmins), Gary (Debbie), Gregory (Charmaine), Geoffrey (Keeley),  Gisele, Grantly, Graeme (Guilia), Gayle (Antonio Martinez).

Abbey was also very fond of his brothers-in-law, Earl Myers, deceased (Beverly), Clark Myers (Margaret), Gerry Myers, deceased (Christine), William Myers (Susan).

Abbey was a member of St. Christopher’s Parish for 53 years. His faith was of utmost importance to him.  He was a man of integrity and great wit.

Many will remember Abbey entertaining the family at gatherings. He loved music and knew the lyrics to nearly every song.

We are grateful to and would like to thank  Dr. Peter Bolland who always treated Abbey as a friend.

Friends and Family will be received at Skinner and Middlebrook Funeral Home, Mississauga – Thursday August 9th 2018 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Christopher’s Church , 1171 Clarkson Rd.  N., Mississauga on Friday August 10th at 11 a.m.
Rite of committal will be at Springcreek Cemetery, 1390 Clarkson Rd. N.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
