VIIDIK, Helene - May 20, 1913 – November 6, 2018
Our beloved and cherished mother to Rita Skelton (Jim), grandmother to Anthony, Ann (Danny) and Patrick (Shaina) and great-grandmother to Chrishon, Luka and Bronson, having lived a full and vital life for 105 years.
Passed away in her sleep surrounded by loving family.
Helene immigrated to Canada from Estonia in 1949 and made a great life for herself.
She was a very creative and energetic person.
She worked as a dressmaker for Creeds and then for 40+ years at the Hudson's Bay Company.
She was a great cook, had a green thumb and worked and travelled well into her 90's, even travelling to South Africa when she was 103.
The family thanks the staff at the North York Seniors Centre for being compassionate and a friend to our Mother.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held at the Humphrey Newbigging Funeral Home, Toronto on Sunday, December 2nd at 1:00 p.m.
