LUCAS, Barry George - (D.C.) - 'If you leave me now you take away the biggest part of me'
It is with deep sadness that after a brief illness, Barry has passed away at 78 years old.
Gone to be with his mom and dad, brother Bev, and Nana Moreland.
Barry had a love of music and was a gifted athlete who excelled at hockey and loved all sports.
He has made many friends over the years who shared in his athletic endeavours and who are still good friends today.
Barry is survived by his heartbroken high school sweetheart Tricia, married 56 years, his beloved sons Adam and Corey, who were his life, and his wonderful daughters-in-law Sharon and Katie, five loving grandchildren, Hayden, Bryce, Ava, Charlie, our precious Lydia, and nephews Steve and Peter, and sister-in-law Dorothy.
The family wishes to thank the nurses, paramedics, friends and Dr. Usha John who were so helpful on many occasions.
Cremation has taken place, and in lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the Humane Society of Durham Region.
We will have a reception on Friday, January 18th at McDougall & Brown, 2900 Kingston Road, from 6-8 pm.
