McLaughlin MarjMCLAUGHLIN, Marjorie - After a prolonged battle with cancer Marjorie transitioned peacefully on February 16, 2019, surrounded by a host of family and friends.

Marjorie as born November 27, 1943 to the late Ashbourne and Lucille McLaughlin in the beautiful city of Montego Bay, Jamaica

She migrated to Great Britain in 1962 where she obtained her credentials to be a Registered General Nurse in Glasgow Scotland.  She resided and worked in Great Britain for a short period of time before migrating to Canada in 1969.

She provided care to numerous patients in various hospitals in Canada and was quite proud of her tenure at Ft. McMurray Northern Light Hospital where she worked from 1980-2002. She then worked at Ft. McMurray in the summers from 2002-2008, before completely retiring.

She happily lived out the rest of her years in Brampton Ontario with her sister Beverly. 

Marjorie embodied a life lived with class, poise and dignity and was from the beginning of her life an angel in human flesh.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister Beverly, her nephews, Andrew, Anthony and Isaac, her notable cousins Marnel, Polly and Junie as well as nieces, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Brampton Funeral Home, Brampton on March 1st from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM followed by the service in the chapel.
