KERR, Lynda - Passed away at Michael Garron Hospital on March 20, 2019.
She was born on April 12th, 1947 to Walter and Eileen Shaw. She had an older sister, Carolyn, and a younger brother followed named Steven. She lived in Toronto her entire life and loved her city.
She met a handsome fellow named John Kerr at his brother/her cousin’s wedding in 1968 and they fell in love, marrying on October 3rd, 1970. First came a few pets, then a son Ian, and a daughter Erin.
Lynda worked at CP Rail for many years until she gave it up to address her health issues. With John by her side she was able to put up a good fight and got the care she needed.
Lynda was so friendly, she would say hello to everyone and make sure to send a compliment your way. She loved animals, and often spoke of a pet heaven for her special friends. She loved antiques, collecting them with passion.
She was a loving Grandmother (Grandma) to Stefan, Sarah, Isaac, William, and Jonathan.
Visitation is Sunday, March 24th at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough Chapel, Toronto from 11:15am - 1pm, followed by a 1pm funeral. There is a reception after the funeral at the same location. Please join us to reminisce about a wonderful wife, mother, and friend.
Donations can be made to the Toronto Humane Society or the Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.
