ACHONG, Desmond - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Desmond Malcom Achong on Sunday November 22, 2020 at the age of 89 years.
Desmond is now reunited with his dear parents Eileen and Johnson.
He was the loving husband of Somoy. Beloved father of Stanley Anthony Achong and his wife Judith Mary Achong and Diane Alison Achong Chang and her husband Daniel Chang.
Desmond was the devoted grandfather of Jeremey Michael Achong and his wife Niselle Gao, Jeffrey Matthew Achong and his wife Ada Wong, Janelle Chang Clark and her husband Matthew Clark and Jason Chang and great grandfather of Myles Achong, Angelina Achong, Aiden Clark and Aoife Clark.
Desmond had many interests and passions. He was always one to embrace technology and had a keen interest in photography. He could often be found with a camera in his hands. One of his many passions was cooking.
Desmond will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all his family and friends in Canada, the United States, England, China and especially all his friends and co-workers in Trinidad.
In light of the current global pandemic with the present restrictions placed on group gatherings by the government, attendance at Scott funeral home, BRAMPTON CHAPEL, has been restricted to a maximum capacity of 10 people. As a result, the visitation and funeral service will be by invitation only.
For the health and well-being of everyone, we respectfully request that attendees at the funeral home comply with current Brampton by-laws by observing social and physical distancing and wearing masks.
