Brown JohnBROWN, John William Edward   -  December 24, 2020

Sadly, on Christmas Eve, Jack died at age 96 after a brief illness, predeceased by the love of his life Mona McGain on January 11, 2018.

Born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1924, he immigrated to Canada in 1948.

He received his CA from McGill University, went to work for Clarkson Gordon and joined Pepsi Cola Canada in 1956, where he had a stellar career that eventually saw him in the role of President of the Canadian operation.

He and Mona raised 3 strong and independent women – Patricia (Alex Simard), June (Henry Benzoni), and Kathleen (the late Henry Makenbach) with much love and laughter.

Some of the family's happiest times were on Dunrae Avenue in the Town of Mount Royal and the entire summers spent in Cape Cod in their home there.

He will be so missed by his daughters, by his grandchildren Danielle (Rob Griffin), Sarah (Karl Giersch), Scott (Caroline Bolland) and Brian (Nora Jakab), his great-granddaughters Heidi and River, as well as much-loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless dear friends.

Our special thanks for their compassionate care go to Dr. Youssef and the nursing staff on 6 south at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Donations in Jack's name can be made to Crohn's and Colitis Canada.

A celebration of a life well-lived by a man well-loved will be planned for later in the year.
