Barclay DorisBARCLAY, Doris Hamilton   -  The family of Doris Hamilton Barclay would like to announce the passing of our dear mother on Christmas Eve, resting comfortably in palliative care at North York Hospital, at age 104.

Doris was born July 29, 1916, in Toronto, and lived in the Beach district of Toronto her whole life.

She was predeceased by her husband, George Francis Alexander Barclay in 2003, which left Doris to stay busy and active, lawn bowling at the Balmy Beach Club, playing bridge with her friends and walking the boardwalk.

Doris was a loving mother to her sons, John Charles (Gisele) and Stephen George (Helen) and grandmother to Jessica (Maxime Lachance) and Melissa (Vincent Filion) and great-grandmother to Jaxson, Charles, and Eva.

Doris was a very special aunt to Penny and Chuck Worton - their help and caring over the years was very much appreciated and will never be forgotten by all the family.

She enjoyed all their company until COVID-19 curtailed a lot of family activity earlier this year.

Doris was a big supporter for the Canadian Cancer Society; even back in the days she was a canvasser knocking on doors with receipt book in hand ready to ask for a contribution.

Those that would like to donate to the Cancer Society would be appreciated in memory of our mother or a charity of your choice.

Doris will be cremated with a Celebration of Life at a later date when all will be safe.
