Bartlett LaureneBARTLETT, Laurene Ruth Evelyn (nee Richardson) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Laurene Ruth Evelyn Bartlett (nee Richardson) in her 71st year on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Beloved mother of Dannielle (Simon), Jason (Janet), Ryann (Rick), Schyler (Athan), and Aubrie (Justin). Adored grandmother (referred to as Queen Laurene) of Kaila, Bronwyn, AJ, Rylie, Jillian and Tristan.

Dear sister of Buddy (deceased), George (Norma) and Syd (Debbie). Loving daughter of predeceased parents Ruth and Arthur Richardson.

Laurene Bartlett was nothing short of a fighter. She survived breast cancer, and a blood disease, before succumbing to a rare lung disease and a heart attack, while awaiting a lung transplant to help her carry forward.

Laurene will be remembered by her strength, generosity, delicious cooking, love for Mexico, reality TV and Judge Judy, and her ability to tell it how it is. She loved summers up in Bobcaygeon when all the kids would visit, and of course a stiff cocktail on the rocks with some potato chips. Her presence, love and sensitivity will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

As per Laurene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Danforth chapel, Toronto.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory can be made to Ajmera Transplant Centre at UHN’s Toronto General Hospital or a charity of your choice.

The Bartlett family would like to thank many friends and extended family members for their love and support during this difficult time.

Until we all meet again. Our love for you is limitless. We hope you enjoyed Christmas dinner in paradise with those who were waiting patiently for you on the other side.
