Martin Gerald IvanMARTIN, Gerald Ivan - (April 24, 1924 - January 30, 2021) - We are heartbroken to share the news that our beloved Dad, Grandad, and GG has left us for his heavenly home.

He was predeceased by his wife Eileen and daughter Deborah.

Adored by his family in Canada, England and around the world, he was loved by all who knew him. He was strong, humble, loyal, handsome, and a gentleman beyond measure.

He had an unparalleled love for his wife Eileen, and his daughters, Judith (Bill) and Deborah (Leo).

A devoted and dedicated family man through and through, he was selfless beyond all measure. There was no sacrifice Ivan would not make to ensure that his family knew how loved they were and that they had everything they needed and more.

He was admired and respected by his grandchildren, Kyle, Christopher, Iain, Rachel, Mark, David, Bethany and Emma. Whether it was one of their sporting events, concerts, recitals, or school events, one thing was certain: Ivan would be there to support his grandchildren and they would see him cheering them on. He celebrated their every accomplishment.

Great Grandfather to Ivan, Noah, Sophie, Grady, Mason, and Kezia, he greatly anticipated and delighted in their visits. He sat and enjoyed their dances, stories, games, and jokes with laughter and encouragement and was idolized by them.

A fervent Burnley Football Club Supporter and a Claret for life, he never missed a game on TV unless there was no possible way to see it.

Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team at Dorothy Lee Hospice. We could not have completed this journey without you.

Dad, you will be loved and missed forever and always!

Arrangements entrusted with Ridley funeral home, Etobicoke. Due to the Covid restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. NO FLOWERS PLEASE.
