MEIN, John "Jack" - Jack passed away peacefully on February 3, 2021 in Burlington, Ontario in his 92nd year.
Loving and loved husband of Kathleen.
Step- father to Paul, Kevin (Anne) and Brian Conroy. Grandpa Jack to Leigh (Ash), Kieran and Matthew Conroy.
Jack will be missed by sisters-in-law Ruby Gowans (late David), Margaret Conroy (late Andy Brady) and Anne Cunningham (Mabon), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jack was born October 3, 1929 in Edinburgh and emigrated to Canada in 1954 where he worked at Carswell Printing Company in Toronto for over 30 years.
In retirement, Jack and Kathleen wintered in Florida for many years.
Jack will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends for his quiet wit and excellence on the lawn bowling green.
A Private Family Gathering will take place at Smith's Funeral Home.
Sadly, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the family cannot receive guests.
For those who wish, donations in Jack's memory to The Salvation Army, Burlington, would be sincerely appreciated.
