Riddell IanRIDDELL, Ian Douglas - Heaven has a new angel, as it is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Ian on Thursday February 11, 2021 at the age of 63 years. Ian passed away with his loving wife by his side after a lengthy illness.

He is now reunited in heaven with his dear parents Joan and John Riddell.

Ian was the loving husband of 42 years of Barbara (nee Wright). He was the loving father of Kelly (Nigel), Lindsay (Rob), and Laura (Jason).

Ian loved spending time with his grandchildren and was the devoted grandfather of Hannah Grace, Archer Ian, Tyson, Brody and Anna.

He was the admired brother of Gary, Janet (Norm), and Craig (Cathy). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and all who knew him.

Ian was as dedicated to work as he was to his family. He had worked at the airport for over 40 years. He was a man of many interests and passions. He loved hockey and would regularly cheer on his favourite team – The Montreal Canadiens. He enjoyed movies, but most of all he loved his dogs Peyton and Paisley who were his constant companions.

Ian was a class act, a true gentleman, an awesome friend, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Ian to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, Brampton chapel. In light of the current global pandemic, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. A Celebration of Ian’s life will be held at a later date when all of Ian’s family and friends can safely be together to celebrate the life of a truly remarkable man.
