Henderson LibHENDERSON, Elizabeth 'Lib' (Flett) - With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of 'Lib' Henderson in her 87th year on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at her home.

She will be greatly missed, as she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (aka Nana!) and a dear friend to many.

Elizabeth was married to her teenage sweetheart and love of her life, the late Donald C Henderson, for 61 years.

Together they raised three children, Ian (Wendy), Sue and Carolyn.

She was the proud Nana of three grandchildren, Mattea, Brett and Reeve.

Besides her loving children and grandchildren, Lib is survived by her sister, Margaret Sisley.

She was a graduate of Ryerson specializing in Early Childhood Education. Lib had a true passion for life, family, cooking, traveling, and the beloved swimming pool. Lib was a wonderful knitter, member of I.O.D.E. and a long- time volunteer for the Cancer Society.

Lib was a kind, caring and thoughtful person, whose passing leaves us and all who knew her with wonderful memories.

We wish to thank her incredible caregivers, who did so much for her over the past several years and became part of our family.

In accordance with the current pandemic, a celebration of her life will be organized at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated.
