Bark CharlesBARK, Charles (Chad) (Chad) Bark   -  Passed peacefully March 31, 2024 at Matthews House Hospice, Alliston in his hundredth year with family by his side.

Predeceased by his parents; brothers; wife, Lyn and son, John, Chad will be missed by his surviving family members including his sister; sister-in-law; children, Susan, Donald and Barbara and their spouses, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Chad attended University of Toronto Schools and was an outstanding football and hockey player.

A WWII veteran, Chad served as a signalman and participated in the liberation of Holland.

Married to Lyn for 73 years, Chad worked in insurance, at Transport Ontario, Veterans Affairs, the Canada Unity Council and as a Glenview Presbyterian Church elder. He loved golf as a life member at Lambton.

In retirement, Chad was a Destin snowbird and loved being with family and friends. During the last 7 years at Kingsmere, Chad made strong connections with staff, especially Crystal, Kirstie and Marg.

The final days at Matthew's House were serene: exemplary care, a loving atmosphere and regular visits from family. There will be a celebration for Chad and Lyn from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Glenview Presbyterian Church, 1 Glenview Avenue, Toronto.

In memory of Chad and Lyn, donations can be made to Glenview Presbyterian Church or Matthews House Hospice in Alliston .
